Our two beautiful girls

From the moment they met it was love at first sight and our two beautiful girls are loving getting to know each other.
Miriam is a proud big sister who likes to help (sometimes too much) look after Ezzy. From getting her a clean nappy to patting her on the back "gently Mummy" when she needs to burp, Miriam loves to attend to the needs of her baby sister.

Ezzy is now four weeks old and proving to be as colicy as her older sister. We are hanging in there and praying for the day she grows out of it (which she will) but in the meantime I have cut out dairy products, caffeine, chocolate and citrus in an effort to curb the effects. I can tell you that soy milk sucks but it seems to be having a positive result.

She has just started staying awake and alert for longer periods and Miriam takes great joy at getting Ezzy to look at her and touch her, squealing every time Ezzy's uncontrolled hand touches her face or arm.

Allan and I are doing well, but still haven't quite got our heads around the fact that our family is now one of four. The usual rules of newborns apply to us, no sleep, no adult conversation, can't finish dinner or a cup of coffee/tea, but we know what we're in for and are working our way through these first few challenging weeks.

We are hanging out for Christmas when we will be down in Sydney/The Gong visiting family and friends but the logistics of travelling with two children is something we haven't got figured out yet. It means two car seats, the pram, the kindercot plus an array of other items for Ezzy and Miri. Not to mention our own clothes! Thankfully we will be doing our Christmas shopping when we get there.

Don't ask us if we're planning on having any more - I think we'll just work out how to manage two before we decide on 3 or 4 or 5 or more (if you ask Allan LOL).
